The National Statistics Bureau in its efforts to leverage the use of
administrative data to generate Official Statistics has produced a Vital
Statistics Report using the data maintained by the Department of Civil
Registration and Census (DCRC) under the Ministry of Home Affairs
(MoHA). The report presents detailed statistics on birth registration, death
registration as well as its completeness and many other related statistics
for the year 2021. Accurate data on births, deaths, and cause‐of‐death are
crucial for monitoring public health policy, keeping track of population
growth and health, and providing information for research.
