Consumer Price Index 12th January 2012 : The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 8.45% in the December 2011, compared with a rise of 9.10% in the same period in 2010. Food prices rose 8.96%, while non-food prices by 8.17% in 12 months. .The most significant price rises in the December 2011 were for Recreation and Culture (+23.29), Narcotics products (+41.04), other Food products (+17.18), Fuels and lubricants (+16.91) and Clothing and footwear (+16.55). The quarter to quarter CPI rose 1.72% in the December quarter 2011, compared with a rise of 2.31% in the September quarter 2011. Food prices rose 1.64% and non-food 1.75%. (Download)
